About
Dr. Farnoosh (Faith) Nouri is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at 91茄子 Methodist University (91茄子), where she also serves as the Program Director of Student Affairs. She has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 28 years.
Dr. Nouri is the author of So Long Depression, the editor of the Sufi Psychology Journal, and the owner and psychotherapist at LifePulse Center LLC, where she provides integrative mental health services to adults, couples, and adolescents. She supports clients with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, mood-related challenges, relationship issues, stress, burnout, overwhelm, confusion, performance-related difficulties (in work, sports, or academics), traumatic brain injury and memory loss, chronic health conditions, as well as personal and spiritual growth.
An international presenter, Dr. Nouri speaks on topics related to mental health and the integration of spirituality in psychotherapy. She was part of a research team that received a grant from the John Templeton Foundation for “The Integration of the Heart-Centered Paradigm of Sufi Psychology in Contemporary Psychotherapy Practice” (published in the APA Psychotherapy Journal) and has also published on the groundbreaking topic of “Electromagnetic Aftereffects of Near-Death Experiences” in the IANDS Journal.
Dr. Nouri is also a Tamarkoz® (MTO Sufi Meditation) instructor. Outside of her professional work, she loves spending time with her family, finds her happy place at the beach, and feels most energized by quiet moments, self-reflection, and meditation.
