Meet the Firms Night
This networking event is an efficient and productive way for employers that participate in our Recruiting Programs to meet the 1L class. More than 50 law firms and 150 lawyers and recruiting professionals participate in this high-energy, interactive evening. For more information, contact Moira Cary (mcary@smu.edu).
Mock Interview Programs
Mustang Exchange – Flash Mentoring Program
Not a traditional one-on-one, long-term mentorship, the Flash Mentoring program, you are able to participate as often or as little as your schedule permits. You can mentor a law student via email, phone conference or brief meeting over coffee near your office – the choice is yours through our Flash Mentoring Program. Email mustangbar@smu.edu.
Mock Interview Match
Mock Interview Match provides rising 2L students the opportunity to practice their interview skills before an attorney in a real-world, law firm environment. As an attorney-interviewer, you would agree to provide at least one interview session with the student – in your office at a mutually agreeable day and time. Employers are personally matched with a student to ensure a meaningful connection.

DAYL Mock Interview Program
This program is sponsored by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers each spring semester. If you are willing to conduct mock interviews on campus in January, please contact Beth Lee (beth@smu.edu).

On-Campus Events
We welcome your firm to campus for involvement with our students. There are many ways to participate year-round.
On-Campus opportunities to raise your firm’s visibility:
- Host End of 1L Year Celebrations and Study Breaks
- Speak on Panels and Presentations on a variety of educational, career and practice topics
- Co-Sponsor an Existing Law School Event (e.g. Wellness Week events in the fall or Office of Cultural Intelligence programs throughout the year)

Off-Campus Events
We can assist in publicizing employer receptions whether held in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex or in locations across Texas, the U.S. and abroad. Send us your invitation and we will be glad to forward it to our students.
A few examples of off-campus events to connect with our students:
- Meet and Greets—over winter break and after spring exams
- Law Review Receptions—in July after new members are announced
- Dean’s List Receptions— after grades are released for 1Ls
